What's Next?

This lockdown has been going on for quite a bit, but now is when I feel like life is finally getting back to normal, a new normal. Online classes have started up, my family and I have a (sort-of) routine, and life keeps going even though we're stuck inside. I video called my friend and classmate the other day, and we were talking about a lot of things, but mainly the novel coronavirus and its effects. We started talking about how things would be once the lockdown was lifted, and it got me thinking:

What will things be like? Will things change dramatically from what we once knew? Will we go back to "normal"? Or is this our normal now? When we finally see people after a long time, will we still restrict ourselves? Will everything snap back to the way it was before? Or will we live our lives in fear?

I think things will probably be so different when we go back to work or school. Hugs, high fives, hand shakes, and other touches would be avoided at all costs. Maybe face masks will become something that many people wear in daily life without social stigma around it. We may become much more dependent on our devices after months of having to depend on them to get work done. The way teachers teach their classes may be different, more tech-based. The number of social activities may dramatically decrease from what it was before. Most people will probable stave off traveling anywhere until we are sure we can be safe from the virus.

I wonder what travel based economies will do in this time. If many jobs and much of the income is based in and around travel, and suddenly all travel stops, what will they do then? Will they change what their economy specializes in?

I guess these will be all be answered in time, but just some thoughts for you to mull over!
